Taunton is changing and the Project Taunton team is securing that change. Our multi-million pound regeneration programme of improvements for Taunton town centre focuses on four major areas for development and renewal: Firepool, the Cultural Quarter, Tangier and the Retail heart of town with the River Tone either connecting or with links to each.

Project Taunton is one of the largest regeneration programmes of its kind in the South West and will provide at least 7,000 jobs, 80,000m² of employment space and 50,000m² of new retail space. It will also create 2,000 new homes in the town centre and support over 12,000 new homes across Taunton as a whole.
